2018 – RENAULT CHEVAL CONCEPT
His name is Cheval and he tries to display something that is lacking in the brand models: soul. When talking about a brand like Alfa Romeo or even an Alpine, it speaks of a state of soul, it speaks of tradition and something that appeals to feelings. Now a Renault, whatever it is – except from Renault Sport – lacks that, soul, nerve, emotion. They are exceptional cars, the French brand has excellent sales figures, but it lacks something. Designed by Amandeep Verma, Indian designer, the Cheval (horse in French) is a slender coupe with flowing lines with 4,330 mm in length, 2,170 mm in width, 1,080 mm in height and 2,776 mm in axles. For the dimensions revealed by the Indian designer, the Cheval has dimensions very similar to those of the Mercedes-AMG GT. The Cheval’s design is inspired by fighter jets, F1 cars, sharks, tigers, bulls and horses, targeting car enthusiasts who like to travel long distances. Amandeep Verma says that “Cheval in French means horse and that is the name because it induces that we have several factors in mind, such as inspiration, form and touch. The overall style of the car offers a reflection on the power, aggressiveness and stubbornness of a horse. In short, it reveals passion and love for the automobile just as people have these feelings for horses. “

2018 – RENAULT CLIO RS PERFORMANCE
The new 220 hp Renault Clio RS 18 may be one of the most fun and radical models in its segment, but that does not stop Renault Sport from wanting to take it even further. For this, the competition division of the French brand has just presented a line of official components called ‘RS Performance’. This new customization program will start with the new Clio RS, but Renault Sport’s goal is to extend it to Mégane RS as well. Two completely different accessory lines are available. The first consists of components that ‘capture the essence of competition’, and the second is a line of accessories that range from classic ‘merchandising’ to workshop products.

2018 – RENAULT CLIO URBAN NAV
This week a new special edition of the Renault Clio was put on sale in the UK market. The French model faces the final stage of commercial life of the current generation – since the new model will be presented during the Paris Salon 2018 – so it is logical that in the coming months Renault tries to accelerate the pace of sales of its model. A clear example of this is the new Renault Clio Urban Nav, which as we have said, is already available in the UK. This special edition was created taking as a starting point the Dynamique Nav finishing level. Its main attraction is that it has a more complete series equipment and without this significantly affecting the price of the vehicle. In addition to all the equipment of the mentioned finish, the special series Urban Nav adds an equipment valued at 1,200 pounds, although the price only increases to 570 pounds.
The new Renault Clio Urban Nav features 16-inch alloy wheels with gray inserts, features Full LED headlights, rear parking sensors and a new body color called ‘Urban Gray’. With all these elements, it presents a more modern, elegant and stylized image. A perfect vehicle for the big city. In addition to that, it also has a 7.0-inch touchscreen for Renault’s infotainment system, satellite navigation system, automatic lights, rain sensor and air conditioning. In the mechanical part, the offer will be composed of two engines. On the one hand we have a TCe 90 petrol block associated with a manual transmission. The other option is a dCi 90 diesel engine that can be combined with either a manual or a dual-clutch EDC six-speed automatic. The first deliveries of the new Renault Clio Urban Nav are scheduled for next March. It is not ruled out that the French mark decides to introduce it into other markets. The Clio TCe 90 Urban Nav part of 16,000 pounds, while the manual diesel version has a cost of 17,500 pounds and the automatic of 18,900 pounds, respectively.
2018 – RENAULT DUSTER
After getting to know the new Dacia Duster 2018 in the last Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017, now comes the time to know the version that with the Renault emblem is marketed in several markets. The French brand chose the Dubai Motor Show for the launch of the new generation of the Renault Duster, similar to the second-generation Dacia all-terrain, albeit with some modifications ahead to adopt Renault’s identity. The main headlamps are similar to those used by Dacia but gain a different format grid, in the style of Renault’s latest launches, which includes the brand’s logo at its center. In the rear things are virtually similar, with no obvious changes beyond the emblem of the brand, while the alloy wheels are exclusively designed for the Renault model.
Inside the differences between both models is more evident, since the Renault Duster has some modifications in the center console. The central ventilation inlets are double and almost rectangular in shape, while the Dacia has three circular shaped inlets equal to those located at the ends of the panel. The rest of the interior is similar in both models, including the MediaNav Evolution infotainment system with touch screen, as well as the controls for the automatic climate control, the seats and the padding. For the time being the French brand did not disclose information about its mechanics and its equipment. In this renewal, the Dacia Duster debuted some new technologies, such as the blind spot alert system, keyless access, button start, 360 degree viewing camera, downhill control and ramp assistance, which we also understand will be extensive to the Renault model.
2018 – RENAULT EZ-GO CONCEPT
Renault unveiled the EZ-GO Concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018 and, as their first teasers showed, more than just a conceptual vehicle, it is the materialization of a whole mobility platform. The brand’s vision of what will be the shared transport of the future. At the basic level the EZ-GO is an electric vehicle and totally autonomous, but loses the fundamental characteristics of any car to become a transport capsule. It does not have a cabin as such, since it is totally minimalist and has benches in its interior contour, leaving free the central space that was designed for people with reduced mobility. In this way and although it has the exterior profile of a conventional vehicle, the EZ-GO is really materializing the vision of Renault of a platform of shared transport or carsharing. The EZ-GO has an electric motor on the rear wheels, but it is devoid of the usual controls, so that just like the usual seats are not found, there are no controls of any kind. The entry system is very ingenious as the windshield and roof open vertically in one piece to allow wheelchair access through a retractable ramp. It has adaptive suspension, four-wheel steering and induction recharging system. Its entire contour is glazed, despite its considerable size, since it measures 5.2 meters in length by 2.2 meters in width. Although its delicate profile conceals its actual dimensions very well, in the images it does not look great as it really is. We do not expect to see the EZ-GO or anything like it soon on the roads, but we can expect that this kind of solution will be implemented slowly in the not-too-distant future.
